Spring Break
We’re half way into Spring break and with four weeks left before Spring football starts we are off and running in the weight room. The players have been working hard on their gains and agility while maintaining a good Rangers work ethic! May 9th we start Spring practice ALL players not in a sport will be reporting to camp. This will be a crucial time for our football team.
It will be mentally and physically tough, they will be learning a new offense and defense. They will be conditioning and preparing for the summer passing leagues. I’m very excited to see how we prepare for the 2016 season.
GO RANGERS!
Daylight Savings
This week we get the pleasure of adding more daylight to the day, although if you’re like me, daylight savings is a necessary evil. That hour I’m losing in the morning is the worst but getting that extra hour in the evening is special. There’s been a change to the 7th period schedule. Reminder if you’re not in a sport I’d like you to be in the lifting program. 7th period will be Monday -Thursday from 3-4 pm. We max out next week and right now Eddie Perez and Trevor Stout from 7th period and Anthony Rodriguez and Jessie Vasquez from 6th and looking strong and the staff is looking forward to seeing there lifts.
I’d like to take this time to thank Crossfit Ojai for the workout programs and Fender Carnine for pushing the 6th period groups! Go RANGERS!
Ojai Community Bank
This week will end the NFL Scouting Combines. If you haven’t had the chance to check them out do so, these athletes are out of control. Last week we had an injury to Jessie Vasquez during the agility station work out. Looks like a big sprain to his ankle, hoping to see you back sooner than later Jessie. Your smile brightens up the weight room!
On another note our fiends at Ojai Community Bank are donating $25 to the Ranger Gridiron Club for every new account that mentions the Gridiron Club. Passing TD in my book, thanks to Ojai Community Bank.
This week we will be starting to introduce Football to the players, with a new Offense and Defense it’s important to start early. Til Next time…GO RANGERS!

Back to Business
I hope everyone had a great Presidents week off, we had about seven players show up for the workouts during the vacation. Anthony Rodriguez, Sophomore, is absolutely killing the workout. He leading the players as well as getting stronger every week. I’m looking forward to seeing his max at the lift-a-thon. This week it’s back to business, 3:00-4:00 pm in the weight room for 7th period. Starting next week we’ll be adding our cardio to the WOD. yeh!!! Till then Go RANGERS!
